An interview with our company on ” International Corporate Security in a global sense ” has been publicized in the magazine A&S Türkiye.

What are the causes for multinational companies to create global security programs? Can you tell us about the general problems experienced by companies?

Tayfun Bora: We need to consider how security developed until today so that we can question these causes. We shouldn’t ignore the definition and history of this line of work so that we can avoid false evaluations. As you know, security has existed as a word since 1050 A.D.: “SECURITAS” was the first word used in this sense in Latin language. When we compare western people and our country in terms of security, we see that in the historical process we were usually the invading side. At least, this is what the historical books we read tell us. As opposed to many western countries, our castles do not have ditches that prevent approaching. In our culture, the best way to defend is to attack. This way, western countries developed defense tactics.

Security means protecting people, assets and values, buildings, operations, businesses and organizations against external and internal factors. Multinational companies define their protection tactics as resilience against these factors. In this process, methodologies and strategies on protection systems such as Security Management Plans, applications, observations, security personnel used in different variations, access management, Alarm Systems and investigations are used.
